Somewhere around 17th August- just after the Independence Day- Maruti is speculated to launch New Maruti Swift to the Indians. If latest media reports are to be believed Maruti will launch the New Swift with tons of upgradations which might include smaller height, wider width and all new exterior and interior. The New Maruti Swift price in India would be 20-30 thousand rupees more. The existing Swift price is Rs 5.09 lakhs to Rs. 6.80 lakhs. Another piece of information further confirms the new Swift launch as the existing Swift bookings and sales have been stopped all over the country to make room for the new avatar of most sought after hatchback in India.
The Maruti Swift will have the same K12 series, 1200cc motor that has already been proved its worth on Indian roads. The small car would be less than 4 meters and would enjoy the tax benefits in India. Other welcome change in the New Swift is its higher ground clearance, unlike the other small cars in India, will surely attract potential small car buyers in India. The not so appealing rear side view of the car is believed to be given attractive looks with stretched tail lamps and rear spoiler.
The inside car improvement suggests larger space for front and rear passengers due to its increased length. Spy stills of the New Maruti Swift looks rather disappointing but better than the Swift available in the market. However you will find new addition in the center console added with next gen features. The present Swift comes in petrol, diesel and CNG trims and the new one is strongly believed to come with the same family members. The car will also offer greater mileage with any fuel type.
