Toyota Etios and Toyota Liva in diesel engines are available in India from today. The car maker Toyota Bharat has used 1.4 litre D-4D four cylinder motor in both the cars. Now you can have Toyota Etios- a sedan car- and Toyota Liva- a hatchback car- in both petrol and diesel engine in India. The 1.4 litre diesel engine of the babies come coupled with manual 5 speed gearbox and the end result is max power of 68PS at 3800 rpm and max torque of 170 NM at 1800-2400 rpm.
The mileage of the Etios and Liva is 23.59 kmpl that is ARAI certified, there would not be any difference in the fuel efficiency of the vehicles due to their more or less same kerb weight.
Toyota Etios price in India starts from Rs 6.30 lakh and goes up to 7.67 lakh while Toyota Liva price in India begins from Rs 5.50 lakh and goes up to Rs 5.90 lakh. The Etios sedan comes in four diesel variants that includes GD, GD safety, VD and VXD. On the other hand, Liva comes in only two variants one is the GD variant and the second variant comes with safety features added.
