Toyota Kirloskar Motors has launched new version of its Toyota Corolla Altis in both petrol and diesel versions in India. The petrol variant price range starts from Rs 10.5 lakhs to Rs. 14.7 lakhs in India. The diesel versions of the Altis are offered in the price bracket of Rs 11.46 to Rs 14.55. That means petrol and diesel variants come approx the same price, there is no difference between them besides the fuel type, thanks to raising fuel prices.
From now on, all the Toyota Corolla Altis versions are installed with 6 speed gearbox excluding the 1.8VL petrol trim that has 7 speed transmission. All the diesel Toyota Corolla Altis' powered by 4 cylinder D-4D, 1364cc engine resulting max power of 88.4 ps at 3800 rpm and top torque of 205 Nm at 1800-2800 rpm.
The petrol versions seem more powerful and strong with its sound specifications. The petrol Toyota Corolla Altis houses a 1798cc, 4 cylinder, 16 valve, VVT-i motor that gets fuel through electronic fuel injection system.
