Toyota Etios and Liva launched with diesel engine

Toyota Etios and Toyota Liva in diesel engines are available in India from today. The car maker Toyota Bharat has used 1.4 litre D-4D four cylinder motor in both the cars. Now you can have Toyota Etios- a sedan car- and Toyota Liva- a hatchback car- in both petrol and diesel engine in India. The 1.4 litre diesel engine of the babies come coupled with manual 5 speed gearbox and the end result is max power of 68PS at 3800 rpm and max torque of 170 NM at 1800-2400 rpm.



The mileage of the Etios and Liva is 23.59 kmpl that is ARAI certified, there would not be any difference in the fuel efficiency of the vehicles due to their more or less same kerb weight.

Toyota Etios price in India starts from Rs 6.30 lakh and goes up to 7.67 lakh while Toyota Liva price in India begins from Rs 5.50 lakh and goes up to Rs 5.90 lakh. The Etios sedan comes in four diesel variants that includes GD, GD safety, VD and VXD. On the other hand, Liva comes in only two variants one is the GD variant and the second variant comes with safety features added.

Toyota Etios Liva price in India is Rs 3.99 lakhs for the basic J variant, Toyota Etios Liva G price in India is Rs 4.59 lakhs, Liva G is priced at Rs 5.05 lakhs and the Liva V is offered at Rs 5.49 lakh; you can pick the top end version that is Liva VX is Rs 5.99 lakhs in India, New Delhi.

Exposed in Auto Expo 2010, Toyota Etios Liva has been launched to out play the likes of Maruti Swift, Volkswagen Polo, Hyundai i20, Ford Figo, Chevrolet Beat, Nissan Micra and other hatchbacks in India.

The company has already launched its Sedan version called Toyota Etios last year in India. The Toyota Etios comes at Rs 4.96 lakhs and the higher end trim cost Rs 6.86 lakhs in India. The sedan comes in four versions unlike Etios Liva.

The Toyota Etios Liva comes equipped with a 4 cylinder, 16 valve, DOHC, 1197cc engine displacement that ensures 80 PS power at 5600 rpm and 104 Nm torque at 3100 rpm assisted by a five speed gearbox. The car has front disc brake for sound braking systems which is supported by rear drum brakes. The Toyota Etios LIva mileage is stunning with the official figures of 18.31 kmpl. You can have driver and passenger airbags and ABS with EBD for safety features.

Its other prominent features include front fog lamps, tubeless tyres, 12 spoke alloy wheels, AC with heater, power windows, electric power steering, audio system with power remote, steering mounted audio controls, internally adjustable ORVMs, 7 bottle holders, remote fuel lid and tailgate opener, door ajar warning, immobilizer, keyless entry, etc. The Etios Liva is offered in 7 vibrant colours such as vermillion Red, ultramarine blue, symphony silver, white, celestial Black, serene bluish silver and harmony beige.
