We have confirmed launch date of upcoming Honda Brio, the small wonder car will be unleashed on 28th September 2011. This Honda small car was showcased in the Delhi Auto Expo 2010 and got positive reviews from the car experts. The cheapest car from Honda till now in India would be this Honda Brio that is expected to be doing great job for its maker. Honda Brio price in India is confirmed as Rs 4.3 lakh.
The Honda Brio would be powered by a 1.2 litre, 4 cylinder, i-VTEC engine with a piston displacement of 1198cc that will generate maximum power of 88 bhp at 6000 rpm and torque of 109 NM at 4600 rpm. The Honda Brio is supposed to be available in three variants such as Honda Brio E, Honda Brio S and Honda Brio V. The rumors also indicates that it will be launched in diesel version as well with petrol. The top model will be packed with Anti-lock braking system with EBD and 2 SRS airbags. Nevertheless, the car will not be featuring rear defogger and alloy wheels.
Hyundai EON
Hyundai EON has been in the news with updates brought out regularly. This Hyundai's small car will be the cheapest Hyundai small in India till date. This upcoming small cars in India would be launched on 3rd of October, 2011, as per reports. The compact car is heard to be available with three variants. The variants will be suffixed with Hyundai EON standard, Hyundai EON GL and Hyundai EON GLS. The Hyundai EON price in India will be Rs 2.50 lakh.
This new city car will be positioned against Maruti Alto and Tata Nano; although the on-road price of the car will bring it at the level of Maruti Alto only. The Hyundai EON will be powered by a 814cc, three cylinder petrol engine which is sure to deliver 55 bhp of peak power at 5500 rpm and 75 NM of top torque at 4000 rpm. All the other features would be just same as other low-cost cars in India like five speed manual gears, five seater and greater mileage.
